The Worst Bloggers Ever

So, it has been almost a month since our last blog. I don't know what happened to January. We really don't have that much going on right now except for work. I have been traveling a lot this month to California and College Station and Jason has been working a lot as well.

Magstadt, I know you wanted a house update...Jason hung some really cool blinds yesterday and we repainted and put new knobs on our bathroom cabinets. I know you will definitely want to see see them next time you are in town.

Hope everyone is having a good winter and I will post again soon!

Harvey Birdman, Attorney-at-Law.

Many may remember the day I announced that I was heading to law school as the day they thought to themselves, "Seriously? You sure about that?" Maybe they had me pegged. Little J had always been more into the comic books than the law books. More interested in Superman vs. the Hulk than Roe vs. Wade.
So I bailed. Little did I know that when I left law school - two years ago this very month - I would be sucked back into the legal system again so soon afterwards.
But this time, something incredible happened...my worlds collided in a magical way. The world of cartoon action meets courtroom justice like peanut butter & jelly, Batman & Robin, Denny Crane & Alan Shore! Two great tastes that taste great together! How is this possible?
Allow me to introduce...Harvey Birdman: Attorney-at-Law!
We got to work with Capcom producing a 90-second game trailer for the Harvey Birdman game on the Nintendo Wii. Harvey is a show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim - of which I am a fan. It's funny-weird. I got to write the script, co-direct the live footage, play the unreleased game, and help edit it all together; so far the most fun I've had since working at Mediajuice. All that to say, while it's hard for me to describe what my job is like sometimes, this is what I do.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is having a great day off work and a great time celebrating the New Year. We are sitting in the Denver airport waiting on our flight back to Dallas. We had a great time skiing with 3 other couples this past week in Breckenridge. The weather was really cold and wet but the guys skied 4 days including one day at Vail that they LOVED! Apparently there is very good reason why all the celebs and rich people vacation there (they have heated streets and people who hand out Kleenex when skiers come into the lodge to get out of the cold!) We managed to have no injuries but I think I am more a lower altitude girl.

Have a happy New Year!
